Apartment or hotel in Batumi: how to choose
Updated 2 November 2026
For one or two nights with breakfast and a reception desk, a hotel is simpler. For three nights or more, for a family, for two couples or for remote work, an apartment usually gives more for the money: space, a kitchen, a washing machine and a door code instead of a check-in queue. We run apartments, so below we also say honestly where a hotel wins.
The difference in one table
| Hotel | Apartment | |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival | reception desk, check-in queue | self check-in with a door code, any hour |
| Space | a room | a studio or a flat, often with a balcony |
| Food | breakfast, a restaurant | your own kitchen, shops nearby |
| Cleaning | every day | before you arrive; extra cleaning on request |
| Laundry | a paid service | a washing machine in the flat (in ours, yes) |
| Help | a person at the desk 24/7 | the host in a messenger |
| Pool, spa, gym | in many hotels | depends on the building |
When a hotel is the better choice
- One or two nights. Unpacking a kitchen you will not use is not worth it.
- You want breakfast and daily cleaning without thinking about either.
- You need a pool or a spa right now. In our building, Blue Sky Tower, the pools, sauna and spa are planned for around summer 2027 — until then a hotel wins here.
- You want a person at the desk at any moment, not a message to the host.
When an apartment is the better choice
- Three nights or more. A kitchen and a washing machine change a long stay: you cook breakfast when you like and travel with half the luggage.
- A family or two couples. Two studios side by side give everyone their own door — our two studios on the 33rd floor are next to each other.
- Remote work. A real desk, fast Wi-Fi (in our studios up to 65 Mbps) and quiet; in a hotel room you often work on the bed.
- A late or early flight. With self check-in nobody waits for you at the desk: you arrive at 3 a.m. and go straight up.
- A month or longer. Monthly rates usually start from about four weeks — in our studios, automatically from 28 nights.
What to check before you book an apartment in Batumi
- The exact building and floor. «Sea view» in Batumi can mean the first line or a strip of sea on the horizon — look at the photos from the window and read the description.
- New buildings. Many towers are new; neighbours may still be finishing their flats. A good host says so.
- How check-in works and when you get the door code.
- Who answers and how fast — before and during the stay.
- What is included: towels and linen, kitchen basics, coffee and tea, cleaning before arrival, the final price with all fees.
- Parking, if you come by car: in the new towers it is often underground and paid.
Where we are
Our two studios are on the 33rd floor of Blue Sky Tower, Block B: across the street from Black Sea Mall, 7 minutes on foot to the beach and the New Boulevard, 15 minutes by car to the airport. Each has a king bed, a sofa bed for a third guest, a kitchenette, a washing machine and a balcony with a view of the city, the mountains and the sea. You book directly with us on this site, without platform fees: see the studios.
Questions and answers
Is an apartment cheaper than a hotel in Batumi?
Often, for the same space — especially for three nights or more and for three or four people. Compare the final price with every fee: cleaning, platform service fees, extra guests.
Is it safe to rent an apartment in Batumi?
Choose a host with reviews or a direct site with clear terms, check the address and the photos of the building, and pay as stated in the booking terms. Many new towers have security in the lobby — ours has 24/7 security.
Do apartments in Batumi have daily cleaning?
Usually not: the flat is cleaned before you arrive, and extra cleaning during the stay is on request. In our studios it is available for a fixed fee.
Can I check in at night in a Batumi apartment?
With self check-in, yes. In our studios you get a personal door code on the morning of arrival and can check in at any hour from 15:00.
Is there a pool in Blue Sky Tower?
The pools, sauna and spa of the complex are not open yet; they are planned for around summer 2027.
