Batumi airport to the city: taxi, Bolt or bus No. 10

Updated 2 November 2026

Batumi airport (BUS) is right on the edge of the city: a taxi or Bolt to the centre takes 10–15 minutes and costs roughly 12–20 lari, and city bus No. 10 leaves from the stop in front of the terminal and reaches the centre in about 20 minutes for less than 1 lari. Below is how each option works, and how we would get to our building, Blue Sky Tower.

Taxi from the terminal

Taxis wait right at the exit of the terminal; the airport says the drive to the city centre is about 10–15 minutes. There is no official fixed fare, so agree on the price before the car moves — in lari, for the whole car, to your exact address. Have the address written down in Latin letters; drivers know the big buildings and malls better than street numbers.

Bolt

Bolt works in Batumi and has its own airport option in the app: you choose the pickup point at the terminal and see the price before you confirm. In our experience it is the calmest choice after a late flight — no bargaining, and the route is on your screen. Mobile data or the airport Wi-Fi is enough to order.

Bus No. 10

Municipal bus No. 10 runs on a fixed route from the airport to the city centre; the stop is in front of the terminal and the ride takes about 20 minutes (Batumi Airport). The airport lists the fare as 0.30 lari; prices for paying by bank card or cash to the driver can be higher, but it stays well under 1 lari. A contactless bank card or a Batumi Card works best. Buses run less often in the evening — after a late arrival, take a car.

From the airport to Blue Sky Tower

Our studios are in Blue Sky Tower, Block B, on Tbel Abuseridze Street, across from Black Sea Mall. From the airport it is about 7 km by road — 15 minutes by car. Tell the driver «Blue Sky Tower, Black Sea Mall»: everyone knows the mall. Check-in is self-service with a personal door code, so the time your flight lands does not matter — you go straight up to the 33rd floor.

Arriving through Kutaisi or Tbilisi

Many low-cost flights land in Kutaisi (KUT), about 150 km from Batumi: by car it is 2–2.5 hours; there are also buses and a train from the airport station (georgia.travel, November 2026). From Tbilisi the train to Batumi takes about 4 hours. If you fly to one of these airports, plan the transfer before you land, especially in summer when tickets sell out.
